Trizetto Introduces Internet-Enabled Extension of Erisco's Facets(R) System with HealthWeb(sm) Application in Record Time

Extended HealthWeb Product Immediately Available to all Facets Customers

NEWPORT BEACH, Calif., June 6, 2000 (PRIMEZONE) -- The TriZetto(r) Group, Inc. (Nasdaq:TZIX), a leading provider of Internet-enabled application services and business portals for the healthcare industry, has introduced an Internet-enabled extension of Erisco's Facets system using TriZetto's HealthWeb Internet application. Completed in a record six-week period, this integrated HealthWeb product is immediately available to all Facets customers.

"The remarkable speed-to-market is directly attributed to the joint technical team of TriZetto and Erisco staff, which worked at a feverish pace to seamlessly integrate Facets and the HealthWeb Internet application," states Jim Donnelly, assistant vice president of product strategy for Erisco Managed Care Technologies, a leading provider of software-based business solutions for managed care organizations. "The flexibility of Facets, combined with the HealthWeb architecture and underlying technology, brings tangible benefits to customers seeking immediate entrée to the e-health arena."

Using HealthWeb will allow Erisco's health-plan clients to use the Internet as a vehicle to communicate and conduct e-business with their customers (physicians, members, employer groups, and brokers) in a timely, cost-efficient manner. The integration between Facets and HealthWeb will allow physicians to perform online member eligibility inquiry as well as check the status of claims, view benefit plan information (copay, deductible, etc.), review medical history, etc.

"An Internet-enabled solution of this caliber can take several months to implement, yet the collaborative effort between TriZetto and Erisco has yielded results for Erisco's customers in a six-week timeframe," says Gail H. Knopf, TriZetto's senior vice president of e-business/HealthWeb. "This is a best-of-class managed care solution that demonstrates Facets' flexibility and the powerful architecture of HealthWeb's Internet application."

Erisco demonstrated the Facets integrated HealthWeb product at its recent annual customer conference.
