RED BANK, N.J., July 11, 2000 (PRIMEZONE) -- Calton, Inc. (AMEX:CN) announced today its appointment of Gerald W. Stanley to the Board of Directors. Mr. Stanley was most recently President and CEO of Real 3D. During his tenure with the company, Mr. Stanley closed a $40 million financing with Intel and a $25 million financing with Silicon Graphics Inc. In addition, he assisted in the subsequent sale of the company to Intel and managed the integration of the companies as a consultant.
Prior to joining Real 3D, Mr. Stanley served as a consultant to venture capitalists, numerous Fortune 500 and start-up companies including Lockheed Martin, Harris Corporation, Thinking Machines and DEC with a focus on advanced computing, communications technologies and international market development.
In addition, Mr. Stanley served as Vice President and General Manager of the Manufacturing Systems Division for Martin Marietta Data Systems and was a founder of Apollo Computer, Inc.
