InterActive HealthCare Signs Letter of Intent to Purchase e-Care Corporation


TITUSVILLE, Fla., August 10, 2000 (PRIMEZONE) -- Interactive HealthCare, LLC, an innovative new eHealth Disease Management and Healthcare Web Services and Infrastructure Provider, announced today that it had signed a letter of intent to purchase the assets of e-Care Corporation, a disease management and software company.

eCare's assets include Balance PC tm, a widely endorsed and acclaimed interactive program for managing diabetic patients, and Lighten Up tm, an award winning weight management program. These Windows-based software include the largest and best organized nutritional database comprising over 18,000 foods with detailed nutritional content; a Smart Health Calendar for recording compliance with required nutritional and medical regimens, daily health events and nutritional intake; and a Health Library with medically approved diets and nutritional monitoring programs. Over $4 million was invested in these programs, and they have been approved and used by the American Association of Diabetes Educators, Joslin Diabetes Centers, Columbia/HCA, healthcare providers, insurance companies, and thousands of patients.

These products will provide critical components of iaHC's Internet based personalized disease management program speeding development and market release of iaHC's products. eCare also provides additional opportunities to license and syndicate proprietary e-heath content and as part of iaHCs Healthcare Web Services and Infrastructure Development business.

This purchase is contingent upon completion of the Company's current round of financing. The President e-Care, Frank Sinton, will become a member of iaHC's Board of Directors and strategic advisor.
