Kari Saarinen (44), MSc (Eng.), who started as president for Incap Corporation on the 1st September, was today also appointed president for Incap Electronics Ltd. Markku Keski-Filppula, who handed in his resignation in June, will continue as a board member for Incap Electronics.
Incap Group is a contract manufacturer of electronics and furniture with a net turnover of 70.8 million euro in 1999. The group’s net turnover also continued to grow strongly during the second quarter of the current year, being 45.0 million euro in January–June.
The net turnover of Incap Electronics, which constitutes the electronics sector of the corporation, grew by 29 percent up to 23.2 million euro in January–June 2000 (having been 18.0 million euro in 1–6/2000). The company has three production units, of which the Vuokatti and Estonia units specialise in electronics manufacturing and the Helsinki and Vaasa units in mechanical manufacturing.
At the end of June, Incap Group was employing 923 people, of whom 650 worked for Incap Electronics. The group’s parent company is Incap Corporation, which is listed in the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
