STOCKHOLM, Jan. 25, 2002 (PRIMEZONE) -- The Aurora building in Stockholm (Marievik 28), which will be completed in fall 2002, will be the new head office of the state-owned Vin & Sprit AB, which signed a 7-year contact for 8,870 square meters. The remainder of the property, a total of 20,860 square meters, was previously leased to AU-System on a 7-year contract.
Drott (SSE:DROTa) owns a total of 140,000 square meters in Marievik (including the Aurora building), of which 4/5 consist of office and retail space. Demand for premises is good and new office leases have been signed at levels of around SEK 2,400-2,700 per square meter, i.e. unchanged since summer 2000. A new site plan for the area is expected to provide scope for additional new production of up to 100,000 square meters in Drott's portfolio.
Marievik 23 ("the White House") has been vacated for extensive remodelling and enlargement, as has a warehouse facility of 4,000 square meters at Marievik 27 (for conversion into offices).
All other office space in Marievik is fully let.
