MALMO, Sweden, March 6, 2002 (PRIMEZONE) -- The Board of Directors of Wilh. Sonesson AB has appointed Anders Sjoholm new president, effective in conjunction with the Annual General Meeting on April 24, 2002, following notification to the Board that Greg Dingizian desires to resign his position. Greg Dingizian will remain on the Board and work with other operations outside the core area of health products.
Sjoholm, 43, holds a B.A. degree from Lund University and has worked within the pharmaceuticals industry for 20 years, in Sweden and internationally.
During the 1980s and 1990s, Sjoholm held sales and marketing positions within Lederle Pharmaceuticals, Hafslund Nycomed Group, and international assignments in Asia and Europe within the Pharmacia Group.
Within Pharmacia, Sjoholm has held various executive positions since 1995, including Vice President Marketing & Sales Worldwide for the largest OTC product Nicorette. During 1998-2000, he served as Vice President Global Marketing and was responsible for all marketing within Pharmacia Consumer Healthcare. Most recently, Sjoholm served as president of a medical-technology development company.
