STOCKHOLM, Sweden, April 30, 2002 (PRIMEZONE) -- In connection to the standardization of the IT infrastructure, Orkla Foods A.S in March signed a general agreement with ProAct Systems AS of the implementation of backup/restore solutions to Orkla Foods subsidiaries in the Nordics and Europe.
Main components in the solutions to be delivered are Legato software and StorageTek Tape Libraries. First delivery will be made shortly to Procordia Food, one of Orkla Foods subsidiaries in Sweden.
"We wish to standardize and consolidate the backup/restore solutions within the Orkla group. We are located in 45 different places which gives obvious possibilities to cost savings as all companies will use the same solutions. To us it was important to find a partner which is strong in the Nordic, where we have the majority of our business. Added to this is the competence and long experience within this field as well as best possible price/performance," said Johs. Utne, in charge of this project at Orkla Foods AS.
