STOCKHOLM, Sweden, Aug. 19, 2002 (PRIMEZONE) -- The IT security company Protect Data AB is adding a number of security services to its already extensive portfolio. The company is now launching digital sentry services, also known as MSS services (Managed Security Services), in the Nordic region.
The principles for digital sentry service are similar to those in traditional (monitoring) equivalents in the field of surveillance. The security of IT systems is monitored at inputs and outputs, and any weaknesses are remedied for instance with the aid of log analyses. A traditional, occasional review of security only provides temporary protection, while the digital sentry service makes this protection continuous. The service also ensures that new threats and attacks on the customer's IT environment are quickly discovered.
