- Sales during the first half of 2002 increased by 28 percent to SEK
71.4 million (compared to SEK 55.8 million for the first half of
2001).
- Sales during the second quarter 2002 increased by 26 percent to SEK
36.4 million (compared to SEK 28.8 million for the second quarter
2001). The increase occurred primarily in the United States,
Germany and Japan.
- Net result for the first half of 2002 was a profit of SEK 0.7
million (compared to a net loss of SEK 14.8 million for the first
half of 2001).
Biora develops, manufactures and sells biology-based products to dentists. Its principal product, Emdogain(R)Gel, which is approved for sale in Europe, North America and Japan among others, naturally regenerates the tooth-supporting structure that the tooth has lost due to periodontitis. Biora's American Depositary Shares are quoted on the OTC market in the U.S. and Biora's ordinary shares are listed on the "O-list" of the Stockholm Stock Exchange in Sweden.
