TORONTO, Sept. 3, 2002 (PRIMEZONE) -- Apollo Gold Corporation (the "Company") (TSE:APG) announced today that effective immediately Mr. Llee Chapman has replaced Mr. Donald Robson as the Company's Chief Financial Officer. Prior to his appointment as Chief Financial Officer, Mr. Chapman was the Company's Vice-President, Administration. Mr. Robson remains on the Company's board of directors.
