TABY, Sweden, Oct. 9, 2002 (PRIMEZONE) -- Enea (Other OTC:EDTDF) has started negotiations with the local unions at Enea concerning a program for cost reduction including salaries and benefits.
Enea's Board of directors have decided to promptly execute a cost reduction program. The program is a part of the ongoing structural reorganization to adopt the business to the changing market needs.
General cost reductions are now executed within several areas, e.g. new investments, premises, travel, marketing and advertising.
Management has also started negotiations with the local unions at Enea concerning changes in the benefits including vacation days, travel allowance and overtime bonus. Besides these changes, a salary reduction is proposed in the range of 5 - 15%, mainly in the Stockholm region, with local variations.
