LUND, Sweden, Oct. 16, 2002 (PRIMEZONE) -- C Technologies AB has received a further order for 550.000 ASIC chips (C Technologies' proprietary System-on-a-chip Argus) in addition to previously announced orders, thus showing that the company to date has received orders for a total of 1.3 million ASIC circuits valued at SEK 71 million to be delivered this year. The ASIC chips are sold with a good margin and will at a later stage generate royalties.
"We are very pleased to receive another order for ASIC chips, which of course should be viewed as proof of the fact that our digital image processing solutions are leading edge. Solutions based on our proprietary ASIC is a profitable business for us, which also generates royalties," said Christer Johansson, CEO, C Technologies AB.
