HARRISBURG, Pa. Nov. 21, 2002 (PRIMEZONE) -- Lew Ebert, of the Pennsylvania Chamber of Business and Industry, has been named President of the Kansas Chamber of Commerce and Industry. Mr. Ebert, President of PCI Services, Inc. is leaving his executive position at the Pennsylvania Chamber after 20 years of dedicated service and will assume his new responsibilities at the beginning of January 2003.
"For the past two decades, it has been my privilege to help to build the highly effective organization that is the Pennsylvania Chamber," said Ebert. "Although it is difficult to leave my `Chamber home,' I am extremely pleased to embrace new professional challenges at the Kansas Chamber, another member-driven state chamber that represents the changing needs of the business community. I'm looking forward to this new career opportunity and the chance to continue to be an effective advocate for business."
Ebert began working for the Pennsylvania Chamber in the Spring of 1980 as a Marketing Representative. In 1983, he left the Chamber to serve as Vice President of PEG (Pennsylvanians for Effective Government). From January to April, 1984, he served as Campaign Manager to the Roger A. Madigan State Senate Campaign.
Ebert rejoined the Chamber in April 1984 as Vice President of Marketing. In this position, he was responsible for full profit and loss for the Chamber's membership dues and non-dues income activities. In his current role as President of PCI Services, Inc., Ebert is responsible for the development and management of the diverse portfolio of products and services offered to the Pennsylvania Chamber's members. He was recognized by the Central Penn Business Journal as one of the "Top 40 Business Executives Under 40" in 1995.
