ESPOO, Finland, Jan. 17, 2003 (PRIMEZONE) -- Gjensidige NOR ASA has decided to enter negotiations with TietoEnator (Other OTC:TTNTF) on the delivery of new core banking solutions.
In autumn 2002 Gjensidige NOR IT Partner concluded an extensive project to assess future core banking system vendors. As a result of this project the bank has chosen to enter into negotiations with TietoEnator for the delivery of Provida Banking Software's (PBS) Core Systems.
PBS Core Systems from TietoEnator Financial Solutions, together with the bank's in-house developed systems, entail less time spent on developing new products as well as reduced operating expenses. The PBS Core Systems platform is already developed to meet today's requirement for 24-hour real time transaction processing.
