NACKA STRAND, Sweden, Jan. 30, 2003 (PRIMEZONE) -- William Gruber will take up the position for Hexagon Metrology's North American operations, as President of Brown & Sharpe Inc. Gruber will succeed Jack Beagley who will continue in his present role as President & C.E.O. of Hexagon Metrology. In this position Gruber will be responsible for all commercial and operational activities, related to sales and aftermarket services of Hexagons North American coordinate measurement machine business.
Mr. Gruber is currently a Corporate Vice President of Milacron, Inc., responsible for the U.S. Plastic Machinery Business.
During the last decade, Gruber's career has been notable for developing Customer Service concepts in response to the growing trend of outsourcing taking place throughout the Industrial Markets in the United States. Business units under his leadership have distinguished themselves with higher then average growth and customer awards, such as General Motors' coveted "Supplier of the Year" Awards.
