Paul Michael Frazee, raised in the East Bay Area of San Francisco, enlisted in the United States Army on his eighteenth birthday. After graduation from Hayward High School in June of 1966, he took basic training at Fort Ord, California ("A-3-3, Sergeant!").
Following the completion of Communications Specialist School at Fort Gordon, Georgia, he spent nearly a year with the 8th Infantry Division at Bad Kreuznach, Germany, before volunteering for a tour in Vietnam. Assigned to the 1st Signal Brigade in Nha Trang, Vietnam, Frazee served during the Tet Offensive, and he based his first book, "Waiting for a Rainbow - Coming of Age in Vietnam" (Graphic Publishers, 1995) on that tour of duty.
After graduating from California State University-Hayward, following his military service, Mr. Frazee pursued numerous careers, among them banking, retailing, and as a national sales manager.
Currently teaching social sciences at the secondary level in the Sacramento area, and working on his third novel, Cornfield Soldiers, Frazee, is active in his church, as a lay reader, and sings in the choir. When not serving with the California Army National Guard, Frazee enjoys traveling with his wife and two daughters to Civil War battlefields, and snorkeling near Cancun.
