(Nasdaq:AFCE), is offering Shrimp Crunchers, a new product featuring big pieces of shrimp covered with an herb, breadcrumb batter to give Church's customers the full flavor they crave. Shrimp Crunchers, a limited-time offer, will be served at Church's Chicken restaurants in the United States and Puerto Rico beginning February 24 through the Lenten season.
Shrimp Crunchers are priced at $2.99 and are served in a unique, portable hand-held box with a lid that converts to a convenient holder for the tangy cocktail sauce.
"Shrimp Crunchers adds to our important `Crunchers' line, headed by Tender Crunchers(tm)," said Hala Moddelmog, president of Church's Chicken. "In the classic Church's Chicken style, our Shrimp Crunchers are made from very large, quality shrimp that are full of savory flavor."
According to Ann Stone, chief marketing officer for Church's Chicken, this is the first time Church's has supported a limited-time product with national television advertising. A new spot integrating mouth-watering food photography and Full Flavor(tm) and Full Pockets(tm), Church's characters, has been developed for use both nationally and in spot buys. The spot features the idea of "No Wimp Shrimp," and restaurant crew members will wear buttons featuring the same message. Atlanta-based advertising agency, BaylessCronin, created the advertisement.
