ATLANTA, May 22, 2003 (PRIMEZONE) -- The YWCA of Greater Atlanta yesterday honored Hala Moddelmog, president of Church's Chicken(tm), as a recipient of the 2003 Women of Achievement Award during its 20th annual Salute to Women of Achievement luncheon held at the Georgia World Congress Center.
The award is given each year to women who represent good role models for young girls.
"We salute Hala Moddelmog and what she has achieved for her company, her community and her family. She is a great role model and mentor," said Ayesha Khanna, CEO of the YWCA of Greater Atlanta.
As president of Church's Chicken, Hala Moddelmog is one of the highest ranking women in the quick service food industry. She joined the company in 1993 as vice president of marketing and was promoted to GM in 1995 and president shortly thereafter. She oversees all functions for the global brand.
