STOCKHOLM, Sweden, August 04, 2003 (PRIMEZONE) -- Vodafone Sweden (NYSE:VOD) is now offering young people up to the age of 25 even better mobile communication, enabling them to cut the cords to fixed telephony. The Vodafone 60 Young Edition subscription gives mobile users 120 free call minutes a month, as well as 25 free SMSs to send to friends and family every month.
Vodafone 60 Young Edition is based on the regular Vodafone 60 subscription but offers users 120 free call minutes* a month, as well as 25 free SMSs. The subscription is designed to meet the growing need felt by many young mobile users only to use mobile communication.
"People up to the age of 25 are always on the move, either geographically to work or study in new locations, or in their lifestyles to socialise with their friends and take part in various activities. At this time of life, fixed telephony's restrictions, along with its monthly fees and moving fees, can be perceived as a burden. Vodafone 60 Young Edition is our way of offering this target group comprehensive mobile options that meet their requirements as regards value for money, accessibility and freedom, " said Goran Mannerstrale, Director of Consumer Affairs
Like the regular Vodafone 60 subscription, Vodafone 60 Young Edition allows users more scope to decide on their mobile communication needs, and to keep their costs under optimal control. When they buy a new phone, for example, they are able to decide the purchase price and monthly costs. In addition to the SMS package with 25 free SMSs a month, they can also subscribe to SMS and data packages that offer them even lower prices for text messages and data traffic.
