WHAT: Joel Short, chief technology officer for Nomadix, the leading supplier of Public-access solutions will speak at the International Wireless Symposium in San Diego on September 23, 2003 from 11:30 to 12:40 p.m. Dr. Short will discuss implementing wireless solutions as part of a panel discussion titled "Solution to Enabling Secure Wireless Networks in Corporate and Public HotSpots." The International Wireless Symposium (IWS) will focus on the existing and emerging wireless communications and networking technologies delivering, "Mobile Access to the Internet." He received his Ph.D. in Computer Science from UCLA where he was a lead contributor to various ARPA sponsored wireless and mobile research projects including TRAVLER -- Transparent Virtual Networking and WAMIS -- Wireless Adaptive Mobile Information Systems.
