LoLo Ships Newest Game, Bucket Blast, To Toy Retailers

Toys 'R' Us, KBtoys Among Top Outlets to Stock Unique 15-Games-In-One, Family Fun Product


SAN DIEGO, Sept. 25, 2003 (PRIMEZONE) -- San Diego-based toy maker, Lolo Company, today announced that its newest family game, Bucket Blast, is now available at Toysrus.com, KBtoys.com, LoLofun.com and at more than 50 independent toy retailers across the country.

According to LoLo President Charlie Paul, additional major retailers planning to sell Bucket Blast are expected to announce their intentions following the New York Toy Show next month.

Since its introduction to the industry two months ago, the unique 15-games-in-one product, for ages 6 and over, has earned praise and awards from retailers, industry analysts, youth organizations and celebrities. Among the early honors for the $29.95 game are the Gold National Parenting Publications Award (NAPPA) and Dr. Toy's "Toy of the Year" distinction in two categories: "Top 10 Outdoor Action Toy" and "Top 100 New Toys."

Bucket Blast contains five outdoor, five indoor and five water games that allow kids and adults to toss beanbags, run, balance, chase, strategize and team-up for points and laughs.

"Players will enjoy a frenzy of physical fun as they balance beanbags in a limbo line, play beanbag basketball with moving baskets, and experience unique relay races," said Paul, describing some of the 15-game action.

Bucket Blast, which can be played with four to 30 players, contains 24 vibrantly colored beanbags, six colorful game buckets with straps, boundary markers, blindfolds, and a tote bag for easy storage and mobility, he added.

According to Paul, reaction to the new game by youth organizations has been overwhelmingly positive. He expects the game to sell quickly.

"Bucket Blast had a more profound impact on our youth than I could have ever imagined," said Kristi Jordan, director of the Estock YMCA in Tustin, Calif. "The children have to use their communications and motor skills, problem-solving, teamwork and their wonderful gift of laughter. Kids of all ages love the game!"

Bucket Blast, which was invented by a mother of three young boys, has been singled out for its flexible and creative rules, ability to keep kids entertained, and the affordability and space saving nature of the 15-in-one game.

A big fan of Bucket Blast is Miss Mary Ann, former long-time host of the Romper Room TV show:
