MBD will target the distribution of TapeWare 7.0, to resellers serving the small-to-medium enterprise market.
TapeWare 7.0 is a versatile, high-performance, multi-platform, backup and disaster recovery software solution that can be used either as a desktop, workgroup or master server solution. The product incorporates a robust feature-set, including a new Web Gateway to provide centralized or remote management for cross-platform environments and interleaving, which can handle up to eight data streams per tape device. Other features include unlimited slot library support, device level diagnostics, load balancing and additional driver support. TapeWare 7.0 is amongst the first backup software products to receive Microsoft certification for Windows Server 2003, which allows end users to seamlessly upgrade to the platform without the expense of installing new compatible software.
