LINKOPING, Sweden, Oct. 9, 2003 (PRIMEZONE) -- Finnish customer is first to order new eavesdrop-secure Tiger XS terminal Through its cooperation partner Ascom Fintel, Sectra has received its first order for the new mobile Tiger(R) XS terminal. The customer has also ordered Tiger(R) Gateway. The customer is Finnish and the order also represents a breakthrough on the Finnish market.
Sectra Tiger XS is a mobile terminal for encryption of voice and data communications, with the possibility to integrate various secure applications, such as mobile intranet. Tiger XS was developed originally in a pilot study for the Swedish Defense and is based on the same NATO- approved security architecture as the Tiger telephone.
Sectra Tiger Gateway offers secure communications with users connected to an organization's telephone exchange.
