Nokia has launched an attractive solution to help enterprises save money by replacing their fixed telephones with cost-effective mobile service. The solution, which is being introduced at Nokia's annual Mobile Internet Conference for customers in Nice, France, helps mobile operators drive fixed-to-mobile substitution by making full mobility an attractive business proposition for enterprises.
Reference cases show that with the Nokia Mobile Business Voice solution, Nokia's unique technology solution for fixed-to-mobile substitution, enterprises can save up to 25% in their total telephony costs by switching to full-mobility service. At same time, the solution allows mobile operators to boost their average revenue per user (ARPU) from business users by as much as 50%, as voice minutes are shifted away from fixed to mobile networks.
Full mobility - especially in enterprises - offers high growth potential for mobile operators and clear cost benefits for enterprises. Many enterprises have turned to mobile service to improve work efficiency though increased reachability. By relying solely on mobile phones, they can further boost cost efficiency by doing away with the dual expense of having both mobile and fixed phones. They also benefit by avoiding the higher costs of internal calls between mobile and fixed phones.
"Many mobile operators are well positioned to offer mobile business voice services without major start up investments," says Mikko Seppäläinen, Head of Mobile Business Voice, Nokia Networks. "In the most mature markets, mobile operators already have the required network capacity, voice quality and PBX-like features available in their networks. The Nokia Mobile Business Voice solution puts all the pieces together into a unique enterprise solution for full voice mobility."
"Nokia's innovative end-to-end solutions for enterprises also comprise data services and enhanced mobile devices for businesses," added Mikko Seppäläinen.
A live demonstration of this mobile-network attendant functionality will be on display at Nice. The demonstration also highlights the Nokia solution's market potential and its time-to-market capability for operators, as well as the business case and benefits for enterprises.
