MALMO, Sweden, Oct. 30, 2003 (PRIMEZONE) -- Benima, a part of the Teleca group, has been assigned by Astra Tech to deliver planning and quality systems to Astra Tech for their manufacturing of catheters. The order value is approximately SEK 6 M.
Astra Tech extends their manufacturing in Molndal. Along with the extension, new advanced systems for control, administration and quality assurance of the production will be implemented.
Benima will be responsible for the development of these systems. The systems will be integrated with the existing business system and will handle all production administration. The design of the planning system will enhance the process and make it less sensitive to interruptions, more flexible and with higher availability. Benima is also responsible for developing the quality system, to ensure that quality data and traceability is available electronically and fulfils the American Food and Drug Administration requirements for quality according to the directive FDA 21 CFR part 11.
