WACKER SILICONES Plans to Sell Curtain Wall Bonding Sealant Business to Sika


ELASTOSIL® silicone sealants are specially developed for challenging applications in glass, metal and natural stone curtain walls. They include silicone weatherseals, products for structural glazing and sealants for double glazing units. The product range is rounded off with VENTOTEC® accessories. WACKER SILICONES developed and successfully marketed these products on the basis of its leading-edge know-how in silicones.
 
Sika is a world leader in polyurethane-based curtain wall tech­nology (Sikaflex®), with a well-developed marketing organization serving end customers. Its product range did not previously include silicone products. After completion of the transaction, customers will be able to purchase the full range of facade adhesives from Sika as a single supplier.
