Hermes Music Mexico is based in Mexico City with subsidiaries in Pharr, Texas and Miami, Florida is a well-established distributor in Mexico and Latin America. Hermes first purchase was an SX-400 25 watt water-cooled system to be resold for permanent installation in an entertainment venue in Mexico. LaserTek FX anticipates additional orders for the new 'Beamstar' air-cooled laser projection system, for installation in the many dance clubs in Hermes territory.
Sonic Design Company, based in Bogota, Columbia is a strong sound and lighting distributor in Columbia and throughout South America. Sonic's first purchase was a Beamstar laser system and will be used for demonstration purposes and for show revenue. Sonic has participated in many mobile corporate promotional shows and the Beamstar enhances the product presentations with dramatic lighting effects. Laser systems are relatively new to the club market in South America and Sonic is planning on aggressive local marketing of this brilliant laser effect.
"We are very excited about these two dynamic distributors endorsing our laser products and wanting to sell them into the growing Latino club market," said Starmax Technologies President, Kim Etherington. "Our innovative new Beamstar is the result of 3 years of research and development by Starmax. Our experienced team designed it with installation in a dance club as a very prime target market, and Hermes and Sonic Design have verified our design target was right-on!"
The LaserTek FX subsidiary is presently under negotiation with several other potential distributors throughout the world. Distributors must be established and familiar with the lighting markets in their relative territories and have a local technical support capability in order for LaserTek FX to appoint them.
Starmax has a history dating back to 1997 in the laser show production business, and now is focusing on providing effectively designed hardware to the club, concert and corporate theatre markets.
