STOCKHOLM, Sweden, Nov. 20, 2003 (PRIMEZONE) -- Medicover:
-- Revenue for the third quarter amounted to 9.4 million (8.4 million), a 12 percent increase from the same period 2002. Nine month revenue was 27.1 million, a four percent increase from the previous year.
-- Prepaid membership rose by a strong 4,700 for the quarter to 111,300 (103,300) and by 7,300 for the nine month period. This represents our strongest quarter organic membership growth since second quarter 2001.
-- The operating loss for the quarter amounted to 0.3 million (0.2 million) and for the nine month period to 0.9 million (1.1 million).
-- The operating profit before depreciation and amortization for the quarter amounted to 0.5 million (0.5 million) and to 1.4 million (1.0 million) for the nine month.
-- The loss after tax for the quarter amounted to 0.5 million (20.6 million) and 1.4 million (23.6 million for the nine month). The loss per share was 0.04 per share for the quarter (1.70) and a loss of 0.118 per share (1.95) for the nine month.
The formation of a new international laboratory division, comprising the Romanian and Polish laboratory activities.
