VIENNA, Va., Dec. 05, 2003 (PRIMEZONE) -- MSSI-TeleScience International Inc., (OTCBB:MSSI), a provider of medical personnel, homeland security and technology services to federal, state and local government agencies, announced today that its Medical Staffing Division will seek a modification for its existing nursing contract with the Pennsylvania State Department of Corrections that could lead to a revenue increase of more than $150,000 over the current base contract. This action accommodates rapid growth in the level of contract services that are required at the State Correctional Institution facility located in Camp Hill, PA.
The current contract, which provides for one full-time and one half-time licensed nurse practitioner, is already running at nearly fifty percent more than the originally projected figures and is anticipated to reach nearly five personnel which would bill approximately $250,000. This more than triples the original contract award that called for approximately $80,000 in services.
"The expanded revenue opportunity on this contract is a validation of the quality of personnel and consistent, superior services we deliver to our clients," said Dr. B.B. Sahay, President and CEO. "Our ability to grow our revenue opportunities beyond base contract levels in so many instances is attributed to the effectiveness of our local presence in these markets through savvy, client-focused Branch Managers. We anticipate being able to expand many of our base contracts beyond their original revenue projections based on our successful formula for managing these accounts."
