Saab Receives Order for 9.3 million Euros from Finnish Navy


LINKOPING, Sweden, Dec. 10, 2003 (PRIMEZONE) -- Saab has received an order from the Finnish Navy, worth 9.3 million Euros, for a Radar and Optronic Fire Control System, Ceros 200 FCS, for Finnish Navy's Sqadron 2000 vessels.

CEROS 200 FCS is an advanced Fire Control System, that includes director with radar- and optronic sensors, suitable for integration to any Command and Control System.

The system, which is developed and manufactured at SaabTech in Jarfalla, is of the same type that has been delivered to the Swedish Visby corvette. Installations of the earlier version of the system range from the 200 ton Rauma in Finland to the 3200 ton ANZAC Frigate for Australia and New Zealand.

Saab had it's first order for CEROS 200 FCS for Finnish Navy's Sqadron 2000 in December 2001.
