BALTIMORE, Dec. 16, 2003 (PRIMEZONE) -- View Systems, Inc. (OTCBB:VYST), is announcing that they have obtained exclusive licensing and marketing rights for the HAZMAT CAM, a cutting-edge video transmitter that allows first responder to assess a hazardous area with limited human exposure.
The HAZMAT CAM is a lightweight wireless camera system that emergency responders carry into ground zero. Images are transmitted to a command post where the incident commanding officer or other experts can see what the response team sees from a safe distance. The signal can be sent up to several stations as far as three miles away, or dispatched over the Internet to officials around the world. The unit is configured in several versions, with price points ranging from $18,000 to $29,000 with most units selling at the $28,000 plus level.
The unit is ready for commercial sales and has already been purchased by several National Guard emergency teams and the US Army. The Idaho National Lab has delivered close to $500,000 worth of units and training this year. A backlog of units is staged for delivery. The global market for this technology is extensive including military units, National Guard Units, firefighters, swat teams, bomb squads and bio/chemical first response teams.
