STOCKHOLM, Sweden, Dec. 17, 2003 (PRIMEZONE) -- Teligent announced today a new customer in Centrica Telecommunications, a leading provider of communications services in the UK. Teligent will be providing the Teligent P90/E platform and applications to help Centrica Telecommunications maintain their lead in the competitive indirect telecom services market. The Teligent platform will be carrying calls generated by the Centrica brands -- British Gas Communications and One.Tel.
The Teligent P90/E is a powerful multi-application services environment within which Teligent will work with Centrica Telecommunications to enhance the already successful Carrier Pre-Select (CPS) services and Calling Card services. The contract also includes the Teligent P90/E service creation environment; the Application Builder. This will enable Centrica Telecommunications to rapidly develop new services for the residential and business markets.
