Viastar Records Signs "The Booty Boys" to Multi-Album Recording and Merchandising Agreements

PHOENIX, Jan. 28, 2004 (PRIMEZONE) -- Viastar Holdings Inc. (OTCBB:VISH) announced today that the Company's premier label, Viastar Records, has signed Exclusive Recording and Merchandising Agreements with the Los Angeles-based Crossover/Hip-Hop sensations, "The Booty Boys." Considered "the purveyors of Bootyology," according to music industry professionals as well as the group's growing fan base, the ensemble is comprised of Spencer Yaras from E! Entertainment Television, Chris Lightbody, of TV's hit series Star Search and Shyam Markus son of Triloka/Artemis Records CEO Mitchell Markus.

The group, unlike any Hip-Hop act in America today, is exploiting the nation's obsession with the gluteus maximus. "The Booty Boys" are a group of satirical and musical geniuses whose irreverent focus on the current trends in American/MTV pop culture is already receiving wide acceptance among popular Rap icons such as Sony recording artist Xzibit. The group's signature style and focus on lyrical humor, driving beats and "Booty" repartee, is riding on a current craze evident by the launch of Nelly's "Apple Bottom Jeans." Viastar Records will begin retail solicitation for "The Booty Boys" first national title, "Grand Theft Booty", second-quarter 2004 and is planning for a mid-summer street date.

The signing of "The Booty Boys" marks Viastar's entree into the music merchandising business. The company plans to make participation and partnership in the merchandising of its artists a standard part of its business model and anticipates this will play a significant role in creating additional revenue streams. "The cross-over markets and the popular appeal of The Booty Boys, as well as the very nature of their concept, is expected to attract significant media attention and generate significant album and merchandise sales," stated Viastar President and CEO John D. Aquilino. "This is about delivering a party to a world-wide audience and capitalizing on the disposable income of the MTV generation."
