The Belimo Group, worldwide leader in the area of electric, direct coupled actuators for heating, ventilation, and air-conditioning technology, looks back on a good business year 2003. Sales growth in local currency was 6.5 % overall, 5 % for the Americas, and 4 % for Europe. The largest growth rate at 42 % was recorded in Asia. The Belimo Group was thus again able to expand its market position in a strained environment. Net sales in Swiss francs decreased slightly to CHF 236 million. Consolidated Group earnings of about CHF 24 million are about 18 percent above the previous year.
For the year 2004, the Belimo Group expects further sales growth in local currencies. Sales and earnings will continue to be influenced by the foreign exchange developments against the US dollar and the Euro.
The Belimo Group will publish its definite results and the annual report for the year 2003 on March 22, 2004.
