BELLINGHAM, Wash., Feb. 3, 2004 (PRIMEZONE) -- Further to the news release dated November 21, 2003, Golden Spirit Minerals Ltd. (OTCBB:GSPM) has received results for its first stream sediment samples from its Ester Creek, Alaska property.
Prospectors, Chemists and Geologists use water samples from creeks in mineralized areas to prospect for the existence of possible precious metal deposits. The minerals weep, especially precious metal indicator minerals, into the stream water and can be detected by assaying.
Going one step further, because Ester Creek, just 8 miles north and west of Fairbanks, has a known history of being a top producer in placer gold production within the Fairbanks Mining District, it was decided to collect the suspended particles using water filters in different locations, over a period of weeks. The theory being, that the Company could get a better indication of where the suspended minerals were coming from, with a concentrated particle collection from hundreds of thousands of gallons of water.
This collection and assay program of particulate or microscopic particles suspended in the water of Ester Creek continued over several winter and spring seasons. The filters were checked daily, charted, and were periodically removed from the creek waters and cleaned. The resulting collected material was then dried and sent out for assay. The following assays are from Ester Creek (Z), a two week filter collection and (14-N) the sludge from a build up in front of a surface collector.

As other results from the filter program are evaluated they will be announced. In addition, results from the samples taken from 1,000 cubic yards of gold and silver bearing gravel will be announced within the next few days.
