LAS VEGAS, Feb. 4, 2004 (PRIMEZONE) -- 21st Century Technologies, Inc. (OTCBB:TFCT) announced a successful deployment of SeaPatch, the marine-engineered brother of ProMag, a rare earth permanent magnet-powered leak and rupture sealing system manufactured by Trident Technologies, Inc., its wholly-owned subsidiary. The SeaPatch was applied to a leaking tank of hydrochloric acid by Garner Environmental Services of Deer Park, Texas. The barge was located at a chemical plant. From the time of the arrival of Garner at the barge to the actual application of SeaPatch, less than one hour was consumed, most of which consisted of a safety meeting to be sure that company procedures were being followed. After the successful deployment of SeaPatch which stopped the leak, the tank in question was pressurized to 8 psi and the powerful acid was off loaded in orderly fashion. SeaPatch held against the acid and pressure for over 16 hours during the off-loading procedure. The SeaPatch provided an efficient, quick and easy-to-apply solution to an otherwise difficult situation that could have proved to present real problems to the local environment, as well as loss of valuable cargo.

21st Century is seeking federal funding to provide SeaPatches and ProMags (the anti-leak and rupture system engineered for land-based use, rather than a marine environment) to equip the nation's 31,000 fire departments and other first responders from the Department of Homeland Security and other sources, such as FEMA and the Department of Transportation.
