STOCKHOLM, Sweden and HAMBURG, Germany, March 31, 2004 (PRIMEZONE) -- CTT Systems received, during the Hamburg Aircraft Interiors expo, an order for the CTT Cair(tm) System for one Airbus A330-200 VIP and one A340-500 VIP aircraft from a Middle East customer. The order is firm for two aircraft systems and with deliveries starting in mid 2004. Sogerma in Bourdeaux will complete the installation for the A340-500.
The Cair(tm) system addresses the problems associated with dry air in first and business class cabins as well as VIP aircraft cabins by raising the relative humidity levels in the cabin to about 25%, thereby providing healthier cabin air quality and better travelling comfort for passengers and crew.
"We are glad to announce the order to install Cair(tm) System in order to improve cabin comfort on the Airbus A330 and A340," said Torbjorn Johansson, President of CTT Systems. "Our technology is today world leading and in particular within the VIP aircraft segment."
The Cair(tm) System is based on evaporative cooling technology, which has been tested to efficiently provide humidity safely throughout the aircraft. The Cair(tm) System is the only humidification system to provide cabin humidification without causing condensation, which otherwise can cause problems such as rain in the plane, corrosion and electrical failures.
CTT provides systems for humidity control in aircraft. CTT Systems' offers the Zonal Drying(tm) System, and the Cair(tm) System. The Zonal Drying(tm) System eliminates condensation on the aircraft structure and is installed in more than 150 aircraft in use today. The Cair(tm) System provides humidification of the extremely dry first and business class cabins without condensation in long haul aircraft. Customers include Boeing, Airbus, Bombardier and many airlines, along with partnerships with Lufthansa Technik and Hamilton Sundstrand. CTT Systems AB is located in Nykoping, Sweden and listed on the O-list of Stockholm stock exchange.
