SAN JOSE, Calif., April 23, 2003 (PRIMEZONE) -- Semotus Solutions (AMEX:DLK), a leading provider of software for mobile enterprise applications, today announced it has added TLD Computers Inc. to the Company's VAR program. TLD is a Canadian-based network technology consulting company who has already deployed its first installation of Semotus' OpenLinkXS wireless messaging software at a well-known computer games and systems manufacturer.
TLD provides extensive IT consulting and purchasing services to a large roster of customers; many of these customers operate extensive networks that are monitored with the HP OpenView(tm) network performance and recovery software. TLD wanted to offer its customers a wireless application that lets IT personnel receive instant notification via their mobile devices of events generated by OpenView, like alerts of downed systems or network applications. After an extensive evaluation by TLD, it was determined that Semotus Solutions' OpenLinkXS software met the critical requirements for this type of wireless solution.
"TLD's goal is to help our customers find the best technology solutions for their businesses. Wireless will play an important role in our clients' businesses in the future and we are committed to providing them with the tools they need to succeed," stated Patrick McGuinty, TLD Director of Sales and Marketing. "Semotus has a strong track record that proves they can handle the wireless application needs of large, complex network infrastructures."
"We look forward to working with a high caliber company like TLD, who has a remarkable reputation for providing its customers with superior technology and service," said Pamela LaPine, Semotus Executive Vice President. "Working together, we will be able to provide TLD's customers with robust mobile communication systems that will evolve as their businesses grow."
OpenLinkXS is a product in Semotus Solutions' HipLinkXS wireless messaging family, and is the "wireless link" to HP's OpenView Network Node Manager(tm) (NNM). It's a dynamic messaging software that is specifically designed to seamlessly integrate with the NNM application and alert users of network events. These events can then be remotely accessed and managed directly within OpenView NNM from RIM(tm) or Pocket PC(tm) devices. www.openlinkxs.com.
