JP Engineering Ltd and JP-Kakko Oy, which are part of the Jaakko Pöyry Group's Forest Industry business group, have been commissioned by Neste Engineering Oy to provide engineering services for the Diesel project at the Kilpilahti refinery in Porvoo, Finland. Neste Engineering is part of Fortum Corporation's oil sector division. The services will be carried out by the end of 2006. The value of the assignment amounts to about EUR 8 million and it is included in the order stock for March 2004.
The Diesel project comprises a new, two-unit production facility to be built at the Porvoo refinery. The Jaakko Pöyry Group's assignment includes process, piping, equipment, automation, instrumentation, electrification and structural engineering as well as procurement services.
This assignment is a further continuation of the cooperation in domestic and export projects between Neste Engineering Oy and the Jaakko Pöyry Group, dating back for more than 20 years.
The Jaakko Pöyry Group had net sales of EUR 412 million in 2003. It has offices in 38 countries and employs 4800 experts worldwide.
