STOCKHOLM, Sweden, May 18, 2004 (PRIMEZONE) -- Swedish multi-national engineering group Alfa Laval -- a world leader in centrifugal separation, heat transfer and fluid handling -- announces today that Per-Erik Lindquist, Executive Vice President and responsible for the sales activities in Europe, has decided to leave the Group for private reasons.
Commenting on the fact that Per-Erik Lindquist has decided to leave the Group, Sigge Haraldsson, President and CEO of the Alfa Laval Group, said: "I respect Per-Erik Lindquist's decision to leave. I know that this has not been an easy decision for him. He has done a fantastic job in Alfa Laval and I wish him all the best in his new challenge." Per-Erik Lindquist comments on his decision: ``I have had the privilege and the pleasure to be a part of something big during the last three years as a member of the Alfa Laval Group Management and responsible for the European Region. I have now decided to leave Alfa Laval, a decision driven by private reasons. I will return to the Swedish truck company Scania and take up a Group Management position from the beginning of September."
