The Sagient Technology Group will offer institutional clients insight, analysis, trading strategies, and long/short ideas in areas of enterprise software and wireless & mobile computing initially, with coverage expanding to include semiconductors & equipment and data networking by the end of the second quarter.
In connection with the new product launch, Sagient Research announced that it has hired the following Senior Analysts:
Kimberly Caughey, Senior Analyst, Enterprise Software
Ms. Caughey joins Sagient Research after serving as Senior Software Analyst at Parker/Hunter, Inc. for five years. At Parker/Hunter, Ms. Caughey was ranked as the No. 3 software analyst in 2003 by Starmine/Forbes, and the No. 2 software analyst in 2002 by the Wall Street Journal's "Best of the Street" issue. Ms. Caughey's coverage expertise stems from her extensive industry background. Prior to moving into equity research, she spent a total of thirteen years as a software engineer, analyst, and consultant in the IT space with firms including The Carnegie Group, Inc., NeuralWare, and TSA/Advent. Ms. Caughey holds a B.Sc in Computer Science and Mathematics and an MBA from the University of Pittsburgh.
Michael J. Rindos, Senior Analyst, Wireless & Mobile Computing
Mr. Rindos joins Sagient Research after three years as an independent research analyst covering the telecom and wireless industries for a number of institutional investors. Prior to forming his own independent research firm, Mr. Rindos served as Senior Wireless Telecommunications Analyst at UBS Warburg, LLC, where he developed an expertise in wireless tower management, network engineering services, and alternative data networks. Mr. Rindos began his equity research career by serving as an equity analyst covering the telecommunications, retail, apparel, and chemical industries at Value Line, Inc. for four years. Mr. Rindos holds an MBA from Pace University and a BS in Finance from the State University of New York. He is also a candidate for the CFA designation and a member of the New York Society of Securities Analysts
