Anoto Partners from the around the world assemble in Ystad

LUND, Sweden, May 26, 2004 (PRIMEZONE) -- Anoto Partners -- Maxell, Logitech, Nokia, Standard Register etcetera -- will be gathering in the southern part of Sweden, in Ystad to present and demonstrate solutions and products enabling Anoto functionality to the Partner Network, potential customers and other potential adopters. Over 60 Partner Companies from different parts of the world that have adopted or commercialized services enabling Anoto functionality will be present.

Standard Register will preview the latest release of its ExpeData Digital Pen and Paper solution and share customer examples where its unique pattern approach, utilizing Anoto technology, has given customers an opportunity to migrate from paper to digital, at a pace they can afford and at a change management level their associates can absorb.

"Early indicators point to a pent up demand and large customer base for this digital data capture technology," says Doug Patterson, Standard Register vice president, Digital Solutions. "Standard Register is honored to be an Anoto partner and excited about the opportunity to showcase the break-through technology that we are bringing to customers around the world through direct sales and channel partner programs."

Nokia will be presenting packaging solutions in cooperation with other Anoto partners, and solutions in partnership with customers, one example being a digital prescription solution developed by Portugal-based NetSaude. The Anoto enabled system is a digital prescription solution system for the pharmaceutical industry. It is aimed at reducing costs for subsidised drugs as well as increasing the speed and control of prescription handling.

For the first time in Sweden, Maxell will be demonstrating its digital pen enabling Anoto functionality. This digital pen is presently sold together with an education form solution developed by Dai Nippon Printing and the WAO Corporation in Japan.

"The Partner Network is a vital part of Anoto functionality and has been a very effective way for Logitech to identify the right Partners to collaborate with," says Chris Bull, General Manager, Digital Writing, Logitech.

"We are a technology provider and the connecting link, whereas our partners are the ones that develop, packet and market products and solutions enabling Anoto functionality. We have chosen this approach in order to realise our vision. It may not be the quickest way short term, however once implemented the force of commercialization is that much more powerful. Several of the Partners gathering in Ystad will be presenting solutions already in commercial operation. Our partners have terminated the pilot phase and are now engaged in various collaboration projects. This demonstrates the cutting edge of Anoto functionality, says Orjan Johansson, CEO, Anoto Group AB.
