(OTCBB:RVNM) and its wholly owned subsidiary JB Toys, LLC are pleased to announce that they have been awarded Federal Trademark protection for "Mr. Bicycle Man" Plush Toys and Action Figures which are featured in the new fully animated Public Service Announcement developed by former Disney animators.
Raven Moon recently signed a joint venture agreement with Serendipity Ltd. which will create a new joint venture company Serendipity Toys, LLC. The joint venture was created to manufacture and distribute select toys including the new action hero `Mr. Bicycle Man' created by Executive Producers Joey & Bernadette DiFrancesco who recently gave JB Toys, LLC a worldwide ten year license to manufacture toys and other products. In 1999, action figures represented $1.123 Billion in sales, and stuffed toys represented $2.388 Billion according to the Toy Industry Association.
Serendipity Ltd. is a multi-million dollar toy manufacturer located in New York and Hong Kong who mainly produces battery-operated toys, novelty, and seasonal items. Serendipity reports annual sales of over $25 million whose retail clients include Wal-Mart, Target, K-Mart, and Toys R Us among others.
The new joint venture company, Serendipity Toys, will manufacture product from Serendipity's 53,820-square foot factory in Mainland China. Serendipity Toys will have the ability to produce 100,000 pieces of various products monthly. The factory is fitted with up-to-date equipment and manned by an efficient work force to handle and deliver high-end products. Raven Moon intends to announce its syndication partner for "Mr. Bicycle Man" next week.
The original `Mr. Bicycle Man' was created by Executive Producers Joey and Bernadette DiFrancesco for the `Gina D's Kids Club' 13 episode series which will debut in September 2004 on television stations nationwide. To gain notoriety for the `Gina D's Kids Club' series, the producers released `Mr. Bicycle Man' as a stand-alone musical animated public service announcement in which Gina D is seen singing the title song. The message in the PSA was "Watch out for danger...and don't talk to strangers." This innovative marketing plan proved successful when the PSA was aired on over 240 major network affiliated stations in forty-five states and won a 2001 Gold Aurora Award. Passed recipients of the award have been Disney, HBO and The History Channel.
Raven Animation, Inc. subsequently hired David Murray a former Disney-MGM animator let go by the closing of the Disney animation studio in Orlando. David's work at Disney included the films `Mullan', `Lilo and Stitch' and `Brother Bear'. Mr. Murray was responsible for the development of the new `Mr. Bicycle Man' feature film for the big screen and an animated series for television."
The New "Mr. Bicycle Man is geared to an older audience," stated Joey DiFrancesco, Raven Moon CEO.
The New `Mr. Bicycle Man' is the story about an eight year old African-American boy who acquires super-hero powers while delivering newspapers on his paper route and becomes a positive role model to children 6 to 11 years old.
