Anders Tormod appointed new CEO of Anoto Group

LUND, Sweden, Sept. 17, 2004 (PRIMEZONE) -- Anoto Group AB today announced the appointment of Anders Tormod to the new role of Chief Executive Officer. Mr. Tormod succeeds Orjan Johansson who remains with the Company in charge of strategic business development. The change is a step toward restructuring Anoto to create a more efficient and focused organisation.

Anders Tormod has been part of the Anoto management group since 2000 and has been the Chief Operating Officer (COO) for the past two years with responsibility for Research and Development and Marketing and Sales.

Anoto has passed a number of important milestones such as core technology development, product portfolio creation, business models and partner network creation and expansion. Anoto needs to increase its focus on delivering products, services and new innovations to partners requiring operational skill and experience.

Anders Tormod draws on almost 20 years of experience in leading roles in technology companies with focus on sales and licensing to large accounts. Anders was previously the Managing Director of Mentor Graphics, North Europe and before that had different leading roles in the Motorola Semiconductor's organisation in Europe.

Orjan was appointed CEO in 2003 after his previous role as working Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Anoto Group. Orjan Johansson has largely concentrated his efforts on investor relations, press relations and on expanding Anoto's partner network. In his new role Orjan will increase his focus on major strategic accounts with the aim of further strengthening and expanding the partner network by adding new world leading companies.

"After having worked for Anoto on a full-time basis for nearly five years I have reached the conclusion that I wish to zero in on strategic discussions with some of Anoto's key customers and on forming connections with additional leading global partners," says Orjan Johansson, Executive Vice President, Business Development.

"Since Anders Tormod has always had an operational and executive profile the change is logical when Anoto enters a face of focus on execution. This is instrumental in providing Anoto with a stronger and more distinct management. It is a natural step when Anoto is concentrating on execution and on expanding the relation with present and new Anoto customers", says Christer Fahraeus, Chairman of the Board of Anoto Group AB
