Golar LNG - Livorno FRT Project Update

Golar LNG have been advised that the Second Conference Meeting relating to the permitting process of the Livorno project has been postponed and is currently rescheduled for mid October.

A Golar spokesman said that it was "quite understandable" that the Second Conference had been postponed to accommodate the schedules of some of the several interested parties in the region.

"However, given how much progress has been made relating to the permitting of the terminal, we are very pleased in terms of the overall project.  We have been very happy at the businesslike and professional way in which the various authorities have approached the evaluation of the project, and look forward to a positive conclusion.

Specific deadlines create a false impression of progress or lack of it" said the spokesman,
'We are increasingly confident of the ultimate outcome within the coming month or so, but we are now wary of stating a specific date that for no project significant reason is delayed by a few days. It is our intention from now on to keep Investors informed about developments as they occur through information bulletins such as this, as and when there is something specific to report."
