LOS GATOS, Calif., Oct. 12, 2004 (PRIMEZONE) -- Semotus Solutions (AMEX:DLK), a leading provider of wireless and voice response software solutions for enterprise applications, will be exhibiting its wireless critical communications software, HipLinkXS, to law enforcement and public works officials at Southern Software's annual user's conference. The conference will be held on Tuesday, October 12, 2004 through Thursday, October 14, 2004 in Southern Pines, North Carolina.
HipLinkXS is integrated with Southern Software's Computer Aided Dispatch application, creating a wireless system that provides first responders and law enforcement officers out in the field with real-time dispatch information. Users can view updated CAD call and unit information, view real time dispatch information as it is updated, change the unit status and much more.
Southern Software's large customer base includes hundreds of law enforcement, communication centers, jails, public works and municipal agencies. With homeland security a top concern for first responders, a keynote speaker from the US Department of Homeland Security is scheduled to address the conference's audience.
The conference will give first responders an opportunity to meet the developers behind HipLinkXS, and learn more about the role wireless plays in transmitting real-time, critical information simultaneously to all agencies called to respond to an emergency. Current Southern Software customers using the HipLinkXS integration include E911 centers in Lee, Montgomery and Person counties, and Henry County's Sheriff Department.
