Investors may want to keep an eye on Emerson Oil and Gas, Inc., (Pink Sheets:EOGI), Viva International, Inc.(OTCBB:VIVI), NewMarket Technology Inc. (OTCBB:NMKT) and Defense Technology Systems (OTCBB:DFTS).
Monday's Alert:
Energy investors will want to watch Emerson Oil and Gas, Inc., (Pink Sheets:EOGI). Emerson announced on Friday after the closing bell that, "its Company's consulting Geologist has reviewed seismic, well log, and geological data to determine additional drilling opportunities on the company's 50% working interest property in Louisiana. The Company's Geologist had identified additional step out opportunities and is preparing an AFE cost estimate to drill these wells."
Good news for investors in that Emerson Oil and Gas expects to finish 2004 very strong, and the company is very excited about the prospects moving into 2005.
EOGI trades at around .25 a share.
Viva International, Inc.(OTCBB:VIVI)
Shares of Viva International, Inc. continued to trade on high volume Friday of 6.2 million shares, after announcing Thursday that it has been informed that Seabird World Air will be able to deliver two Boeing 747-269B aircraft during February of 2005.
VIVI closed Friday's trading session at $0.28, up 7 cents.
NewMarket Technology Inc. (OTCBB:NMKT), Defense Technology Systems (OTCBB:DFTS)
Communication technology company NewMarket Technology Inc. and data and security solution provider Defense Technology Systems announced Friday a Letter of Intent to combine their respective Homeland Security Businesses under Defense Technology Systems. Defense Technology said it will acquire NewMarket Technology's Homeland Security Business in a transaction that includes NewMarket CEO Philip Verges joining the Defense Technology Board of Directors and a distribution of Defense Technology Stock to the Shareholders of NewMarket.
DFTS closed Friday's trading session at $0.175 on volume of 4.36 million shares. NMKT finished the session at $0.77 on 2.8 million shares.
