SCA Acquires Munksjo's Tissue Operations


STOCKHOLM, Sweden, Dec. 14, 2004 (PRIMEZONE) -- SCA has acquired Munksjo's all tissue assets for a purchase price of SEK 249 M (EUR 28 M). Munksjo's net sales in 2004 are expected to amount to about SEK 420 M. Production, which is carried out in Jonkoping, Sweden and Drammen, Norway, amounts to approximately 45,000 tons and focuses both on the consumer tissue and Away From Home (AFH) markets.

The acquisition requires the approval of the relevant competition authorities.

SCA produces and sells absorbent hygiene products, packaging solutions and publication papers.
