STOCKHOLM, Sweden, Dec. 21, 2004 (PRIMEZONE) -- The Board of Gunnebo AB has appointed Goran Gezelius as the company's new President and CEO with effect from May 2, 2005. Goran Gezelius is currently Senior Executive Vice President of Atlas Copco AB and Business Area Executive Industrial Technique.
Goran Gezelius (54) has solid experience from senior management positions in both manufacturing and marketing and sales, mainly with the Sandvik and Atlas Copco Groups.
Goran Gezelius joined the Sandvik group in 1982. Between then and 2000 he held several management positions within Sandvik, including that of marketing director at Seco Tools. Between 1988 and 2000 he was head of Sandvik's Saws & Tools Business Area.
Goran Gezelius has been Senior Executive Vice President at Atlas Copco since 2000, where he is currently head of the Industrial Technique business area, which has annual sales of some 10 billion SEK.
He has a degree in Engineering from the Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm and another in Business Administration from the Stockholm School of Economics.

It will be very exciting to contribute to the further development of the Gunnebo security group," says Goran Gezelius, who will join the company in the spring, and take over as President and CEO on May 2, 2005.
Gezelius will receive a salary and other benefits that are commensurate with those of the current President and CEO Bjarne Holmqvist.
