ASHEVILLE, N.C., Jan. 4, 2005 (PRIMEZONE) -- Homeland Integrated Security Systems, Inc. (Pink Sheets:HISC) announced today that it has acquired BBI Computer Solutions, and its related company C2 of NC Inc. in a stock transaction. Both companies have become wholly owned subsidiaries of HISC. BBI and C2 are heavily involved in the technology field, and are developers of the "Cyber Tracker," a portable GPS (Global Positioning System) mobile tracking device. The Cyber Tracker is scheduled for real-time testing in conjunction with the Georgia Port Authority and the Georgia Tech Center for Maritime Technology to begin in mid January. The acquisition was completed with restricted authorized, un-issued common stock of the Company and certain indemnifications for obligations of BBI, Inc.
C2, is currently an approved RIM (developer of the Blackberry) alliance partner, and certified hardware and software developer for Nextel. BBI has extensive experience in the wireless industry with Cingular/AT&T for the past five years. BBI is also heavily involved with Nextel as a National Retail Premier Agent. In that role they are focusing on wireless data transmission and custom applications for Homeland Security and other Government Agencies.
According to Ian Riley, CEO of both BBI and C2, "The fit between H.I.S.S. and BBI is very complimentary." The Cyber Tracker will not only increase port security, but will also aid the ports while increasing productivity and efficiency.
Ian Riley is a nine year veteran of the technology industry. He began his career as a computer hardware designer/manufacturer and has moved his company into systems integration. Mr. Riley and his companies have projects that are international in scope and involve a variety of revolutionary software as well as hardware components. The merger of BBI Computer Solutions and H.I.S.S. will afford both companies growth opportunities and access to future markets. According to Frank A.
